The mighty Drakensberg Mountains offer countless opportunities for the visitor who wishes to "climb every Mountain"!
We have opportunities to backpack the Giant's Cup Trail in the southern Drakensberg over 4 to 5 days; the Sani Pass itself can be walked with opportunities to stay in the Sani Top Chalets; we offer day hikes from Himeville and Underberg; from the Champagne Castle Hotel there are many day and overnight hikes, where you can sleep out in the Mountains; and it is possible to arrange a long-range hike along the contour paths of the Drakensberg with a specialist Guide.
This tour can be adapted to suit your skills.
Rock Art can be seen along the way of most of these hiking trails.

| The tour departs Durban at 06h00 for a full day trip to the southern Drakensberg - valid passports are essential!
On arrival in the town of Underberg, you transfer into 4 x 4 vehicles to travel up the SANI PASS at almost 10000 feet above sea level, and into the Kingdom of Lesotho for an awe inspiring experience!
This is a photographers' paradise and enough to take your breath away!
Not for the faint hearted as the road is rough, but at the top you have lunch and an opportunity to visit a Basuto village.
We return to Durban in the afternoon.

We depart about 08h00 on this relaxing and ' culture vulture ' tour which takes us up through the Midlands Meander route through the towns of Howick, Nottingham Road, Rosetta and through Mooi River to Escourt and Frere (Winston Churchill was captured by the Boers here in 1899). We arrive at our accomodation in the central Drakensberg for lunch.
After booking in and a few hours to relax, we then go off to the Boys' School for a two hour concert - the concert is broadcast on the internet each performance!
We return to the accomodation for an evening of leisure.
Our return to Durban is the next day after breakfast.

| The Drakensberg Mountain range has been in existence for over 200 million years and has held its beauty and mystique amongst this majestic mountain scenery for longer than we can imagine! This 3 or 4 day tour offers you a chance of a lifetime to visit this awesome mountain splendour and to stay within its uniqueness for as long as you wish!
We travel to the southern 'Berg and stay in the village of Himeville in a charming B&B. There is also a chance to climb into a 4 x 4 vehicle for a mind-blowing trip up the SANI PASS and into Lesotho - valid passports are essential - having lunch at the highest pub in Africa!
We then travel along the foothills of the Drakensberg to visit Giant's Castle. Here we are once again enthralled by the sheer beauty of the Drakensberg as we take an hour long walk to see amazingly preserved Bushman Rock Art.
Once in the central Drakensberg, we can visit such exciting places as Champagne Castle and Cathedral Peak, stunning destinations that offer you hikes and climbs, golf and games!
The tour ends up back in Durban or any other destination that you might choose!
